For luminaire manufacturers and system integrators
A control board with its own radio certification, built into your own fixture.
In development. We are still finishing the LUMIVIX Core board — there is no bench-tested prototype yet. The features, specifications, evaluation kits and prices on this site describe the planned state, are preliminary and may change. This is not a binding offer.
Building Matter connectivity, RGBCW control, and presence sensing from scratch means months of radio certification and firmware risk. LUMIVIX Core is a ready-made control platform with a pre-certified wireless module — you integrate it into your fixture without re-certifying the RF section of your finished product. One board, one footprint, five channel configurations from simple dimming to full circadian RGBCW, with no proprietary app. Fits architectural linear luminaires, recessed downlights and panels, and tunable-white office or hospitality lighting — anywhere you want to add smart, circadian, or presence-aware behavior without building your own MCU and power electronics.
We're a component / control-gear supplier. We supply the control board you build into your own mechanical and optical fixture design; we are not an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) and don't design a complete finished product for you.
The core of the offering
Circadian automation with no app, no cloud, no Wi-Fi credential
The flagship feature — a circadian CCT curve and radar-triggered on/off, adjusted by room brightness — doesn't need Wi-Fi or an app. It only needs the time of day (held by an on-board RTC, set once at install) plus the radar/ambient-light readings the board already has. That's a different position than Casambi, Sunricher, or Tridonic's Bluetooth-mesh/DALI-app-centric approach: real circadian lighting automation with zero app, zero cloud account, and zero Wi-Fi credential to hand your customer.
For you as a manufacturer that's a smaller operating commitment, not just an extra feature: no mobile app to maintain and update for years, no cloud account to run and secure, and no Wi-Fi credential an installer has to hand over and track for the end customer. Core Lite removes that burden entirely — the light runs itself, driven only by time and the board's own sensors. Core Connected doesn't put that burden on you either — commissioning and control run through the standard Matter ecosystem (Apple Home, Google Home, Home Assistant), not your own infrastructure.
Core Lite
A low-cost MCU with no radio module is meant to run that exact automatic behavior standalone — circadian CCT and radar-triggered on/off adjusted by brightness, timed off an RTC set at install. Manual override is a normal wall switch, no app, ever. Built for partners who don't want to take on app/cloud support burden, and for cost-sensitive lines where the Wi-Fi/Matter module's radio is dead weight.
Upcoming: a decided direction, not an orderable board today. The MCU choice is settled at the architecture level, but no schematic exists yet — no board, no samples. If this fits your project, get in touch and we'll talk through a realistic timeline.
Channel-count options and pricing are still being finalized — contact us for the current status.
Core Connected
The Wi-Fi/Matter board currently in development — it will run the identical automatic behavior as Core Lite, plus phone-app control (Apple Home, Google Home, Home Assistant — still no proprietary LUMIVIX app): always-available CCT fine-tuning, optional RGB app-only (no tier has automatic RGB behavior), and a "block light" night-lockout the app can set, which releases itself in the morning.
The prices on the Pricing page apply to Core Connected.
If a partner wires up neither radar nor an ambient-light sensor on either tier, the board is simply a plain switched on/off light — no tier needs a separate firmware branch for that.
Talk through which variant fits your projectBoards & optional population
One hardware platform, five channel configurations (Core-1 through Core-5) — same PCB, same connectors, only the component placement (DNP) at manufacturing differs. Integrate once, then choose the tier per project. Plus an optional radar presence-detection module and two evaluation kits (Dev Kit, Demo Kit) for a fast decision with no commitment to a large order.
DNP population instead of five separate board designs has a direct payoff on your side of integration: one mechanical placement, one connector footprint, and one firmware interface that you qualify once for your whole fixture range. You order exactly the channel count, radar, and ambient-light configuration a given fixture needs — no paying for features you won't use, and no custom SMT step (no populate-then-cut jumpers) on the manufacturing line.

Where the board fits
We target fixtures where you want to add smart, circadian, or presence-aware behavior without building your own MCU, power, and driver electronics from scratch: architectural linear luminaires for walls and ceilings, recessed downlights and ceiling panels, or — on the tunable-white-only Core-2 — office and hospitality corridor lighting where it's about daylight/circadian dimming, not RGB. The images below show illustrative examples of what can be built on the board.

Core deska
Core-1
Jedna barva / CCT kanál, jednoduché stmívání.
Core-2
Pouze CCT — teplá + studená bílá, stmívatelná bílá bez RGB. Cílí na kanceláře, hotelové chodby a další prostory, kde chcete denní/cirkadiánní stmívání, ale RGB nikdy nevyužijete.
Core-3
RGB — CCT/laditelná bílá je výhradně role Core-2.
Core-4
RGBW — R+G+B + pevná bílá, bez laditelného CCT blendingu.
Core-5
Plné RGBCW řízení včetně cirkadiánního CCT blendingu.
Core Lite
Zapojíte, spárujete přes Matter (Apple Home / Google Home) a rovnou vidíte kvalitu světla, plynulost cirkadiánního stmívání a scény v provozu — přesně to, co rozhoduje, jestli má smysl jít do technické evaluace přes Dev Kit.
Engineering- and procurement-level decisions
Why build on the LUMIVIX Core board
You can develop the control electronics for a smart RGBCW fixture yourself, or buy a finished control platform from Casambi, Sunricher, or Tridonic. LUMIVIX Core is a third path — a component you build into your own fixture under your own brand, with its own radio certification, without taking on years of app and cloud-backend maintenance. Here's why that holds up at the engineering level, not just the marketing level.
Radio certification you don't have to repeat from scratch
The radio module carries its own RF pre-certification (FCC/CE) — a real, existing certificate on the radio section, not a promise. That's a genuine saving of weeks to months versus developing your own radio subsystem. We'll say the honest part too, because overselling this would only cause you problems later: the module's certification does not automatically transfer to your finished fixture. It transfers only if you follow the manufacturer's reference antenna-clearance and component-placement rules in your final layout — and your finished fixture still needs its own EMC/RF/safety testing at the whole-product level either way. What the module's certification genuinely gives you: you don't have to solve the RF section from zero, only integrate it correctly.
One qualified platform, three independent configuration axes
Core-1 through Core-5 share the same PCB, footprint, and connectors — only which positions get populated at manufacturing (DNP, do-not-populate) differs, not five separate board designs. On top of channel count (1 through 5), you independently order on-board radar and an on-board ambient-light sensor — each a separate choice, matched to what a given fixture actually needs. Integrate the board mechanically and electrically once, then pick the exact combination per order, instead of compromising across five different boards with five different firmware builds.
Height was priority one, not an afterthought
We deliberately ranked z-clearance (component height above the board) above X/Y footprint — the opposite priority order most development boards use. That's checkable against the earlier B2C reference design this board grew out of: TO-220 transistors (~15-17mm tall), a 10mm radial electrolytic capacitor, and a through-hole screw terminal block — the three tallest components on that earlier board — were replaced here with low-profile SO-8/DFN transistors, small polymer/ceramic capacitors, and an SMD connector. Not because our own housing needed it, but because your OEM housings tend to be noticeably tighter.
Presence, not just motion
The optional radar (60GHz) is designed to detect genuine static presence in a room — someone sitting or lying still — where a passive PIR sensor times out after a few seconds of stillness and reports the room as empty. Combined with 5-channel RGBCW control and a circadian CCT curve, the light responds to whether the room is actually occupied, not just whether something moved in it. Exposed through the standard Matter Occupancy Sensing cluster — a drop-in PIR replacement in your existing Matter ecosystem, no proprietary API to integrate. The radar is not an external accessory on a cable: the module plugs straight into a 5-pin socket on the board, so a board is simply with radar or without it. Like everything on this site, this is planned equipment still in development — see the development status below.
Component supplier
We supply the control board as a component (component / control-gear supplier). Your fixture's mechanical and optical design, material choices, ingress protection, and final aesthetics stay entirely yours; we're not an ODM and we don't sell a finished product under your brand or to your customers. You keep the IP on your fixture design and the direct relationship with your end customer — we supply only the part of the electronics you'd otherwise have to develop yourselves.
No proprietary app to maintain
Commissioning runs entirely through the standard Matter ecosystem — Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or any other Matter controller. You don't build or run your own mobile app, cloud backend, or user accounts for years — a commissioning QR code is generated at manufacturing time, and that's all you hand over. On the Core Lite variant, that independence goes further still: circadian and radar automation runs with no Wi-Fi and no app at all — see "Circadian automation with no app, no cloud, no Wi-Fi credential" above.
Security with zero firmware access
Firmware is locked (eFuse lock) before it ships — neither the partner nor the end customer can reach it, reflash it, or otherwise modify it. That's a concrete answer to a real question every manufacturer asks: who's liable for service or warranty when a customer accidentally corrupts or tampers with firmware. The answer is simple, because they physically can't reach it — you don't need in-house firmware-security expertise to get that guarantee. Diagnostics for technical evaluation in the Dev Kit run over a separate, read-only log port, never a programming interface.
A clearly-rated power ceiling
A system-level ceiling of 80 W total output (24 V input, max ≤3.33 A), with a 50 W limit per individual channel — hard, declared numbers for your fixture design, not a vague marketing "up to" figure. 80 W is a deliberately conservative derating of a commonly available 100W partner power supply (an 80% load, not 100%), for thermal margin and a longer supply lifespan.
Straight talk
The board's real development status
We'd rather give you an accurate picture than let you discover the gap between marketing and reality on your own bench. LUMIVIX is a new company just starting out, not a manufacturer with decades behind it — and that's how we talk about it with partners too. What we bring instead of a track record is a deliberate architecture, honest numbers, and direct access to the people actually designing the board.
New company, clear intent
LUMIVIX is still building its track record as a supplier — we're not an established player with years of references the way Casambi, Sunricher, or Tridonic are. What stands behind us is a deliberate technical approach and a willingness to be straight about what isn't finished yet. Partnering with us at this stage means direct communication with the team actually designing the board, not an anonymous support queue.
Pre-production hardware
The schematic and PCB layout are going through final review ahead of manufacturing. No physical prototype has been bench-tested yet — the figures on this site are design targets backed by calculation and component datasheets, not measured or certified values.
Radar and ambient-light sensor on the board
No external modules and no extra cabling: the radar plugs into a 5-pin socket on the board and the ambient-light sensor is populated on the board. Both are optional and independent — we plan to supply the board either with them or without them. External sensor variants are not planned for now; like the rest of the board, this population is still in development, not bench-tested.
Certification
The radio module carries its own FCC/CE pre-certification for the RF section, but that doesn't automatically transfer to a partner's finished fixture without the partner's own EMC/RF/safety verification. The board with radar doesn't yet have an EU CE/RED assessment; we plan to offer it for Dev Kit evaluation only at first, not for serial deliveries into the EU.

What luminaire manufacturers ask most
Which protocol does the board use and what does it work with?
Core Connected uses Matter over Wi-Fi, so the luminaire joins Apple Home, Google Home or Home Assistant directly, with no app of your own. Thread support is in preparation. Core Lite works entirely without Wi-Fi or an app.
Do I have to certify the radio part of my luminaire?
The radio module carries its own RF pre-certification, so you don't develop a radio subsystem from scratch. The finished luminaire still needs its own EMC, RF and safety testing, and the layout must follow the module maker's antenna rules.
How many channels and how much power does the board handle?
One board in Core-1 to Core-5 versions – from a single channel up to full RGBCW. 24 V supply, a design limit of 80 W in total and 50 W per channel.
How does presence detection work?
The optional 60 GHz radar plugs straight into a 5-pin socket on the board – the board is either with radar or without it. It detects people sitting or lying still and reports presence as standard Matter Occupancy Sensing.
Can I modify the firmware?
No. The firmware is locked before shipping; neither the partner nor the end customer can reflash it. Updates and fixes are delivered centrally over Matter OTA, optionally as part of the annual firmware support.
How do I start, and what are the order volumes?
Best with a Dev Kit (preliminary 2,500–3,000 CZK) to verify the integration on your bench. Volume prices cover 10–50, 100–300 and 500+ units. The board is still in development; all prices and specifications are preliminary.
